Now Playing Tracks

Today I married my best friend in the entire world, and we took our closest friends out to eat and play at Dave and Busters. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of love and support, and I can honestly say that I am the happiest I can ever remember. Just over five years ago, I was on the phone with Matt, after having been a very drunk mean son of a bitch the night before. Embarrassed by my unwarranted cruelty I asked him, “Do you even still like me?”

I expected him to back off, after all I was just a girl from the internet and we’d only really been talking on the phone for a little while. Instead of running fast and far, he answered, “Of course.” In the last five years, he’s never once stopped believing in me, even when I’m angry, or sad, or downright evil. So when he says for better or worse, I know that’s a promise I can count on. I wouldn’t have ever met all the wonderful people who celebrated with us tonight if it weren’t for having met him and taken that leap to move across the country to be with him.

He is amazing, silly, frustrating, fantastic, loud, thoughtful, and I love him so so much.
